Company Overview: As a member of the Miyoshi Logistics Group,
we are primarily responsible for overseas operations.

Past Activities: In collaboration with engineers from Toyota-affiliated companies,
we have held seminars on Japanese manufacturing methods in countries such as China and Thailand.
The target companies were local subsidiaries of major Japanese corporations.

Current Business: Driven by the president’s strong commitment, we are expanding our BOP (Base of the Pyramid) initiatives targeting developing countries.

1. Business Activities: In Bangladesh, we support a BOP project implemented by the Japanese NGO “Aloasha” (Yamagata Prefecture) in partnership with local educational institutions.
This project targets underprivileged children (those unable to receive compulsory education) and provides support to the schools they have established.

2. Specific Initiatives: We have established a new factory in an unused school building on the campus to process and sell dried mangoes, a local specialty.
Since Bangladesh is a treasure trove of fruit, we also process various other fruits into dried products in addition to mangoes.

3. Form of Support: A portion of the factory’s operating costs is allocated to the school’s projects.

4. Future Plans
Bangladesh has now been reclassified from a least developed country to a Lower-Middle-Income Country, and compulsory education has become widely implemented. As a result, this project—which was originally designed to support children from low-income families—has fulfilled its purpose.
We are therefore currently focusing our efforts on the dried fruit business and working to establish an export system to countries around the world.

5. Details of the Transition to New Initiatives
　　To make effective use of the school buildings, we are preparing to launch a new program that shifts our focus to sending students to Japan as skilled workers.
　　We are finalizing plans to prioritize graduates of this school as the young people sent to Japan.Isn’t this the very essence of consistent life support—continuing to assist individuals from childhood to adulthood?!!!
